Baby Blues And Becoming A Mompreneur.

Good morning and happy Monday! I wanted to share a mini version of how I got here and hope that it’ll inspire you or someone else out there to never give up!

In October 2018, I chose to leave a “secure” job (I use it in quotes because is any job really ever secure?) and stay at home. At the time I was severely depressed and on top of that I was a couple of months pregnant with Hera. I was breastfeeding and pumping to keep up with Odin’s demanding supply all while working, maintaining my sanity and being a lot of things to a lot of different people (mom, wife, sister, confidant, trusted name it). Oh plus I had severe morning sickness and lost almost 10lbs in one week. Honestly, this all left me drained and empty.

I stayed at home for 3 months with no plan for life or anything else and just watched as the days went by. I watched lots of Avatar on repeat and just let life pass me by.

In February I decided that I was going to change my life and pursue what I wanted to do. I don’t know what sparked this new fire 🔥 inside me but I was ready to finally stop doing nothing and build a life for myself and family-maybe it was reality that hit me or just seeing all the successful women on timeline as I scrolled through Instagram- I don’t know.

I made a plan and in March, I launched myself into the world of full time entrepreneurship. I made my first $1,000 working from home and I haven’t looked back ever since. I am growing and becoming the woman I have always envisioned.

On most days, yes it’s hard and challenging but I get it done (😍Hello new motto). I am still fighting the #babyblues but I’m proud of myself and how far I’ve come.

So, on this first Summer Monday of 2019, I want you to always remember that no matter what you’re going through, a little bit each day towards your dreams is a big step no matter how little it seems. Keep on dreaming and always try, fear will always be there but you have to do it afraid anyway. Don’t give up on yourself because you’re the only one who has always got your back no matter what!
