Self Care With Drunk Elephant X Sephora
I’ve been fighting acne for as long as I can remember and as a mother of two, I haven’t really had much time to care for myself. To me, skincare is a huge part of self care and it’s one of the ways I know how to care for me. It also really uplifts my mood so when I found out that Sephora was having free 30 minute facials featuring Drunk Elephant, I couldn’t help but sign up for one. I’ve always heard about how great Drunk Elephant products are and besides their product packaging which I’m in love with btw, I definitely wanted to see what all the hype was about and check it out for myself so this was the perfect opportunity.

I finally decided to stop being a homebody and get out of the house so after getting all the babies fed and happy, I left them with their dad and headed out to the Sephora inside Woodfield mall.
I got to Sephora a few minutes before my scheduled time and one of the store associates greeted me. When I told her I was there for my facial, she took me to the skincare “bar” and introduced me to Sandy who was going to be my skincare specialist for the afternoon. Sandy was amazing! She asked me a couple of questions about my skin goals, told me all about the product she was going to use - the Sukari Baby Facial- its benefits and how it was going to help my skin. She also told me all about what to expect during and after the facial.
Did you know “The name Drunk Elephant is rooted in a myth that says the elephants love to eat the fruit that has fallen from Marula trees. Once eaten, fermentation occurs inside their very large tummies and the elephants become drunk!”
After getting my face cleansed with micellar water, le facial started. The initial application tingled a little bit but it went away after a couple of minutes. Sandy did say to expect this so I wasn’t surprised. The texture and feel of the Sukari baby facial isn’t like most scrubs. I’ll say it is smoother and not as rough on skin. It also doesn’t have a distinct scent which is one of the philosophies of Drunk Elephant-just pure organic skincare products with their natural scent. During the facial we talked about kids motherhood self care and how important it is to make time for yourself despite having kids. Once the facial was done, she applied the Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil to moisturize and Hello Glowing Skin!
I really enjoyed my facial and I decided to get the Rise + Glow Duo which is a trial size of the C-Firma™ Day Serum (Vitamin C serum) and the B-Hydra™ Intensive Hydration Serum to try out.
I had a wonderful time with Sandy and I’m glad I got out. Skincare is a huge part of my self care routine and I love that I got a chance to just take care of me for 30 minutes.
